Have a lovely day Luda

I made it in and out of town on the train yesterday I was exhausted by the time we got home but at least I did it

I haven't even started doing any more jobs yet but the window cleaners have just been so the windows are nice and sparkly (never lasts long though - we have two sets of french windows at the back of the house so they'll soon be covered in finger prints again!)

I've heard from the festival that although we paid for a traditional marquee we've been given a pretty industrial looking pre-fab aluminium framed structure instead which sounds awful. I have no idea how we'll manage setting up in that tomorrow, we've had the same traditional style marquee for the last 8years or so and are all set up ready to build our shop around it so this will present all types of problems as well as just not being what we asked for!

I'd better go and get the hoover out...

Hello All

Not having a good day. My MS monster (Boris) has crept out. I nearly collapsed in Tesco. Ed was being so difficuly, not listening, running off and getting customer services to call for me. U think the walking backwards and forwards has beggared me!

I'm on the hen night tonight (don't worry, it's a grown up affao) so I'm just resting up as Ed is entertaining himself with the XboX...hey, an electronic babysiter

Report
shouldbe · 23/08/2007 14:43

Grouchy poor you! Be kind to yourself for the rest of the day. Enjoy the hen night

Jas I have no idea what will happen...will find out later today I guess. I'll be working running a shop in a marquee at the Greenbelt Festival in Cheltenham this weekend. We sell home furnishings/accessories imported from community co-ops in India/Bangladesh/Uganda/Philippines etc

dd has her friends here now so poor ds is being shoved out in "no boys allowed" style games poor chap - he's dealing with it well though, so far
I doubt I'll get much more done, but I may sit and sew some name labels on school uniform ready for getting back to school.

~hang out washing done
~do 2x more washing done
~hoover upstairs and downstairs done
~dust everywhere done
~clean bathroom and cloakroom
~call in to work and make sure everything has been done done, bit more to do still
~encourage dd to have a quick tidy with me in her bedroom (can't see the floor) done

just been sat on my arse doing nowt...then I feel the need to dye ed's khaki shorts french blue, then I shine the sink.

I can't do nothing

Upped my meds and feel somewhat better but I'm a tad unstable

4 o'clock and the shorts come out of the dye bath

Report
scattyspice · 23/08/2007 16:20

Take it easy Grouchy. MS is a bugger.
Why are you dying his shorts?

Afternoon

Sorry you aren't feeling so good GO You have a valid excuse for taking it easy.

Good day at work. It is still roasting so if it is still like this tomorrow will be doing a Luda and setting off for the beach Hope you had a great day luda! shouldbe Will you get some money back do you think?

Report
grouchyoscar · 23/08/2007 18:00

ah Scatty ...Ed got covered in poster paint including his clothes. All the paint came out except the blue on the shorts.I washed with oxy and stuff about 8 times and it wouldn't shift MIL cropped a pair of his combats that had frayed at the bottom so I thought 'dye the stained shorts the same colour as the stains.
I hate chucking clothes out so I always try and find a way to ressurect them. I'm terribly thrifty and a squanderer in equal measure

And your right , MS is a bugger. Leads me into a false sense of security 'I'm OK, I'm OK I'm....ahhh'. I'll get a handle on it again soon.

I'm feeling better but I'm not going to push it. All the hotspots are an utter tip but I can sort that tomorrow. it will only take 15 mins (I hope)

Oooh another guinea pig fan

Ours are so cute. They recognise dd2 and dd3 (who spend the most time with them) and start squeaking and squealing really loudly if they even just hear them.

Oh yes! As soon as they smell the cabbage leaves they are off I'm on the lookout for a run so we can let them in the garden. We have them in the house just now and they run up and down the hall.

Oh dear, bet your dh was NOT impressed... lol.

We have to keep an eye on them when they are in the hall - they have escaped before now... but they can't be quiet long enough for us not to find them We do keep them indoors in their cage but try to let them out every day.

rofl!!! Can't be much worse than having 2 cats knocked down and killed within a month of each other... that was a nightmare. Which is why we now have guinea pigs!
