I had a poo night too, nightmare, followed by stupid coughing, then i couldnt stop worrying about the mess the roof work is gonna bring!!! I am tired today.

Just fed the baby breakfast, trying to decided whether to stay here and fly a little bit and put up with the banging and the noise or take a trip to swansea towncentre shopping! Just me and bubs.

Hello back again, glad I gave everybody a laugh on this dull day! It made me laugh coming back on and seeing all the comments! , this is why my other half calls me Goldfish!

My done list:

Kids all washed, fed and at school
breakfast dishes washed up
one load of washing done
one load of drying done
5 minute rescue of DDs rooms
cleaned the bathroom
been to the post office to post letter
been to sorting office and picked up parcel

Now having a sit down and having a coffee and watching Jeremy Kyle for the hell of it!

Will be back later as I have a list that needs to be done, as I need to get this house sorted for 6 weeks of hell, sorry that should be holidays!

Hello EVERYBODY and associated DCs

The band were so fantastic last night, spot on stuff. Made me remember all the good stuff about gig going (loud music, good vibes etc) and forget the bad bits (poor v enue, crap beer, rubbish sound, other people) I actually felt like me again (rather than Ed's mum, not that being a mum is a bad thing, it was just touching base with the previous me iykwim)

But I didn't forget I had to get up and do my chores so

DONE

Up and washed
Make DS, make bed and draw curtains
Get dressed
Downstairs
Make breakfasts and eat
Empty WM
Read The Smelliest Day at the Zoo to Ed while eating brekkie
Tidy away
Get Ed's uniform ready
Take him to school
Home
Open post
Sort out replacement mobile phones (mine had crashed, DH's got laundered last night)

Taking it steady today. So how is everyone?

Morning all

I am house bound once again today as the car has gone for an MOT

DD1 had her sports day yesterday (thanks for asking EHM) she did very well. Came 1st in the egg and spoon! 2nd in the run and hoop, 2nd in the run with a bean bag on your head and 3rd in the skipping. [proud emoticon]

I am hoping the rain holds off today, as after lunch I'd like to tackle the garden. It is getting out of hand!

I haven't read yesterday's thread too thoroughly, but hope you are all well

I had better get the house in some order, so I can spend the afternoon out in the garden and not have to worry.

Morning all.

I'm glad to see youare looking forward to the holidays as much as me Aufish
I will also be at school almost as much as my children this week and next, so just as well I had that burst of activity on Sunday/Monday.
Sports day at the junior school today.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your night out grouchy Makes me feel old though I've been mum for so long I've completely lost the old me.

Shouldbe I need to get out on my bike now.

julez Just don't bother with dusting while the work is still going on. Pointless even to try.

EHM A lie in and still in your dressing gown. Enjoy it.

That is what worries me about being mum all the time...the fact that 7.20 is a lie in that I am envious of.

Well......FLY......OK then.

I've done the shopping and made all the essential phone calls I needed to.

To do:

hoover whole house,wash up
washing
drying
s&s
kitchen surfaces
mission
kidsroom 15 mins

Hey Jas the old me was a hell of a mess, there were just a couple of bits I needed to remember to find and keep with me. Gig going was one. And I did start to feel old last night. I seem strangly detatched from the hip modern world of what is happening now.

Better sort out the washing

ludaloo · 11/07/2007 11:04

oooh you two, I know that feeling well...I feel very old at things like that. Its funny isn't it, when you become a parent it is almost compulary to be "uncool"! (but then I do find myself wincing slightly when the music is too loud, and silently tutting at how short the girls wear their skirts....even if it is a slightly jealous tut!)

Still..... it must have been nice to have let your hair down GO

lol, dh and I were saying at the festival we went to at the weekend that we were showing our age - we've always enjoyed live music but it was quite loud this year and all the standing around watching/listening really took it out of us!! It was great though and the eves we had child-free were a great throw-back to our younger days Should get out more often but it's not always easy is it?

It was great to be at a gig again.

I know what you mean shouldbe once you have that baby, all your energy and effort goes into being a super parent (no matter how many times you claimed 'it won't change me at all'and you loose your old individality. Things are 'too busy/loud/noisy, teens are scary etc etc.

It was too long between gigs, things just get in the way. Either you're too exhausted, too skint, can't get a sitter and scariest of all BIL having a massive stomach ulcer explode!

So which festival were you at?

My house looks nice and clean and tidy now I'll tackle the laundry and ironing and wardrobes tomorrow. Going to head out with dd after school while ds goes to play with a friend

Oooh, the Waterboys, were they good? And did you see the Bunnymen?

Looked a good fest. No Lily Allen for a start!

My attempt to lure DS out of the office have failed and I better recapture his snail colony. He has ...gulp...7 now!

Mollusc moving right now

Looks good shouldbe. Even I could cope with that one.

I can't even reminisce (SP) with dp. He's never done gigs or festivals and our tastes in music has never been similar.

I did most of my list (no kids room cleaning) and went to sports day. Rainbows is done, Brownies is underway and I've organised a lift for dd to come home.

Tort I have been reading your scooter thread(s) and will add my admiration of your parenting that your ds wears a helmet on his scooter. I hope you can sort out the issues at schooland still keep him safe.

Good evening ladies, just quick nosey on here as I'm off to drop the girls at school for their evening performance.

Today I have done:

My bedroom, don't get in there too often to give it a good clean as DP is usually sleeping and then when he gets up the kids are in bed, so its spotless, the only other thing I need to do is make the bed when I get home.
Made a yummy cottage pie
put stuff up in the loft

My to do list:

Ironing
lunches
bed
shower the youngest

Won't be back now until the morning, hopefully if I start the thread tomorrow I will get the day right! Its Thursday tomorrow, Aufish, not Wednesday again!!!!

I think i have done everything that needs to be done in the front room now.
I need to go and load DW and finish the kitchen so that i have tomorrow free to do by the back door (some may remember previous before and after pics of that area). And then upstairs.
