Hello shouldbe and jelley. My house is in a terrible state as I have been working away for three days and unable to control the ever increasing mess! so once I have sorted the kids activities out today I am coming home this afternoon to have a blitz which will continue tomorrow as well.

Anyway I have missed you all and when I was teaching personal effectiveness mentioned this thread as an example of how doing something mundane can become much much better. I have to say my students looked concerned when I went on about how great a shiny sink was! LOL

I have to do a fair bit today, as I did nothing yesterday! DD1 is doing her flower dance this afternoon, and we have to go and collect wild flowers to take, so will have to do that this morning.

Good morning Shouldbe - have a good day at work, GF - I love the thought of us being used as a teaching tool! Luda* - The flower dance sounds so sweet . I was at a May Festival yesterday in the woods. After the maypole dancing, the girls picked flowers and the boys charged around in gangs, with sticks, happily making war!

If I take the kids out and leave him to it, thinking it will be easier without us all in the way, all work grinds to a halt. He actually likes having kids in the way!

We have my SIL and her boyfriend for the weekend, arriving in about an hour, and guess what - DH has flaming manflu again He has gone to the emergency doctors, who I hope will laugh in his face and tell him to go home and do some housework Aren't I mean? Luckily all the hard work I put in this week means that the house is presentable, but I like it to look immaculate when we have visitors and swan round pretending we always live like that

Hi all.
Have had quite a good morning of cleaning. Kitchen floor done at last!
Been to the shops and got myself a new duvet. Mine is smelly and grubby. i just couldn't face putting a clean cover on that! And its to big for the wm and no launderette!

Need to go and put the washing out. Its lovely here today. no wind so warmer than yesterday.

I have just cleaned my en suite bathroom from top to bottom. including getting the scale of the taps, de-gunjing the plugholes, and the whole toilet.

Glad you all liked it and I nearly printed out the email which I think shouldbe posted about the coffee cup on the counter from last week as well. In terms of why things dont get done I dont think we need to say any more.

Well done the ballet run now and shopping and two loads of washing. All hung out on the line to dry and now putting away the shopping and having a quick break before off again.

I'm chuffed because after my nap I went in search of a birthday present for DH and in a local shop I found a beautiful painting which I think he'll love. Job done!

Dh is on his way home from PIL with no children - the first time they've ever stayed away...I'm missing them already but know they'll have fun with PIL and it'll do us loads of good to have some time off too

Not much FLYing - did run the hoover round when I got in from work but that's it...hoping for a lazy day tomorrow too

Well, I managed to argue with dp, not use the car to go shopping (and so only get half of what I needed)and not clean it out.

I did get the dds room done though

Not a great deal else done today, and my back aches now so I'm not likely to get much done. I will wash up and shine my sink before bed though (All the new FLYers have me worried. They will all do it properly and then come on this thread and realise that we (well I) don't do it properly at all)
