I have a 5 year old Zanussi fridge freezer and for the past while it has been leaking daily. I've tried poking at the little hole near the salad trays - maybe its blocked further down Or should I get someone to look at it?
My Mums fridge leaked all the time - maybe they don't have a much of a longevity?

is it the inside or the outside?

I'd have thought you needed to poke the hole with the prodder thing too but maybe you should get someone to look further along the pipe. If it's only 5 years old, it really shouldn't be leaking due to age (and Zanussi are a good make too).

It seems to gather at the bottom inside and when I pull out the left salad box it drips alot.
Might need to turn it off and clear it out and have a really serious poke. Yeah - I'd like to think it would last a few more years.

yeah it should do. I find mine sometimes does that if the hole is blocked at the back. I have a special little tool to poke mine. Its something to do with the level you have your fridge at and if you put fresh stuff in. If its too hot or cold the condensation or whatever drains through the hole,

I've a feeling I've got no ahem, tool to poke mine with, so will look for a good big knitting needle. I think its probably worse when the fridge is full.

It can be caused by the fridge not being level. Have you checked the foot on one side hasn't slipped down?

Yes - I'm pretty sure its level - might get dh to put a spirit level on top of it tomorrow just in case, thanks.
