UPVC FRONT DOORS- KEEP GETTING LOCKED OUT?!

Morning All,
just wondered if anyone else has experienced their front door lock being impossible to open.
We had a new front door fitted in Feb this year. Nothing is broken but it is just really stiff. key fits in fine it just has no "give" and won't turn.
Whenever you shut the door it locks it so I am continually being locked out.
Have a 2 year ds so this is far from ideal.
Have just rung up safestyle and they can't come out until 22nd may!!!
Have tried wd40, no difference.
Any ideas?????

I'd ring safestyle again and say you better come before that and it is totally unfair that you have paid for something that is not fit for the purpose and you will be contacting trading standards.

Well I have got a locksmith out. Cost £69 which I am going to try and reclaim back off safestyle. Thanks furball
