Morning Jelley I'm really not sitting here every morning waiting for you!

Report
shouldbe · 14/04/2007 06:59

I've been up since early too, thanks to ds who despite staying up till after 8pm still wakes up at 6.15 on the dot every morning! What's the betting that by Tuesday morning when we need to get to school the pair of them will sleep in?....

Jelley · 14/04/2007 07:00

Yeah right. I believe you

I can guarantee mine will sleep in on Monday when they have to go back to school, too.

No list from me for now as I have to work till at least mid-afternoon. Do need to get a fair bit of hoovering/mopping/dusting done later though so I may post a list to motivate me once I'm home.
Still feeling a bit low - but hope that a few hours out of the house and away from mummy role will help clear my head

It is always good to be you for a bit. See you later.

I am going to do lots of washing (bed changing day in the Jelley house) and gardening today.

I was out til it got dark last night, repotting the plants from the border, so I can grass it and give us a bit more light space.
I've got lots of bulbs with no homes now (not a great time to be digging them up I know)so I'm going to have a row of bluebells along the bottom of the fence I think.

ehm, dd is much better thanks.

we're doing lots today, off to garden centre in a bit to buy flowers for garden, off to town to buy some birthday presents for dd1s friends, and then watching the grand national later.

DD starts preschool 3 mornings a week from next week so i think i'll be able to get back into FLYing much more easily than struggling with them both taking up my time...

have a great weekend eveyone.

Enjoy some YOU time for a bit shouldbe

EHM Goodness...Ellie is a lucky little pea!! I was not very good at making my own baby food All my three were definately Heinz babies!!

HMMMMMMMM I just can't get started today!! Too much mess! I think I might do the car first My Scenic has given up the ghost again , needs a new engine now
DH has recently bought a van, for work, and we have been wondering what to do with his Mondeo....It is a bit beyond selling, its old and tatty (TBH IT FECKIN STINKS!!!!!)It is a proper mess inside. The seats are black from the grime off his overalls, and it needs a good vac and polish. It has been carrying stinky old gearboxes and the likes for months (hence the need for a van)
It looks like I have to use it for a bit, until we can get the Scenic fixed again!!! (I'm not holding my breath on that one!!)
ARRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to phone up and get myself insured on it again!! (only just cancelled the insurance!!!)

Well better get on with things....they are not gonna do on their own!!!!!!

Hello to all. I have read through the posts but will only post briefly as I have lots to do this w/e and must crack on despite having got up early again.

Done:-
~ sorted dh and ds out. They are away now until tomorrow.
~ all breakfasted
~ d/w unloaded and reloaded
~ put some items on watch on ebay

To do this w/e:-
~ dd wants to go swimming. I'd thought of getting my hair cut today possibly and the two don't go well unless I time the cut after the swim.
~ a huge, huge, huge pile of ironing
~ finish sorting out the stuff we did last w/e
~ try my summer clothes on to see which ones don't fit

Have a good w/e one and all!

Good morning tiddlypeeps thought it would be better than the usual everybody that I do.
Well I have just got up, but was up until 3am doing the ironing and talking online. That will have to stop as from Monday! Back to the same old rountine again.

Here's my to do list:

Wash and dry up
Hoover up and sweep up
Do 3 loads of washing
Give my bathrooms a quick wash over
General tidy up
Later after DP gets up put away the pile of ironing that was done last night

A busy-ish day for me, going to completely gut the house though once the kids are back at school as it's just a quick tidy at the moment with them around.

Hi all - you're such early risers !

It won't work for me to post a day's list, it will depress me and I'll never start! I need to post a few jobs then come back on MN as my reward. Have been to the hairdressers this morning and hate the colour they've put on - too dark. Must not spend hours looking in the mirror. With the kids away I've got till Monday morning to tackle a load of stuff in case we have to move over the summer.

Am now going to:
1)put laundry away and do new load
2)finish clearing living room
3)sort out kids' toycupboard.

Morning everyone although just loked at my watch and realised it is the afternoon already. Crikey I have a birthday cake to bake and a party to prepare for six little girls of 8 who are going to sleep over. My eldest is going to do their nails and I am going to make pizzas!

Need to tidy a little bit as well shop and plan and then relax and read my brilliant book whihc I keep picking up Lance Armstrong its not about the bike. It inspired me this morning to not only go out for a two and a half mile run but also a five mile bike ride with ds! perhaps that is where the morning went.

Hello to all.

EHM What is it with men and bbqs? They are more trouble than they are worth imo. Do I sound like a grumpy guts?

I'm not doing very well with the list so I'll head off now. MN works for me if I scan through the active convos to see what is going on, read the occasional thread then read this one before getting back to it! Dd and I decided against swimming and getting my hair done. I have been disappointed in the hairdressers a few times now and would like to change but there isn't anyone much better in town, by all accounts. I dried it differently and I think I'll grow it out a bit and then decide what to do.

Anyway, see you later.

LOl EHM why are you looking forward to them or is it Ellie going off on one. My eldest never slept well and now has lie ins! I swear there are days when I remember those sleepless nights and her screaming and think I'll just run the hoover round outside her bedroom at 6am!

Report
Londonmamma · 14/04/2007 14:43

EHM - no I'm stopping in and washing my hair!
Thanks for all your words of encouragement. Can't believe what a difference it makes committing to something on here. I actually go and do it! Glitterfairy - good luck with the party. You must be well organised to fit in a run and a read as well!
Next jobs for me: 1. dishwasher, composting

  1. clear hallway (major job!) 3. declutter smallest bedroom.

Popped back as have just stopped for a cup of tea.

Sleepovers! I don't know why the word sleep is in there. Stopovers, yes. Stay up half the night and talk/eat smuggled sweets overs, yes.

I don't want to make anyone jealous but now that dd is 12 yrs, I've just taught her how to iron. She is doing simple stuff, pjs, sheets etc. I think I'll be doing the expensive stuff myself. I showed ds the other week, too.

Off to do more. Oh, btw, two of the three items on the list (that I had for days, no, weeks on end) have been done! Just one more return to do! There are one or two new returns to be done but I haven't sorted them out yet. Ooops.

Back again, not acheived much as I have walked all four kids to town to get the oldest boy more equipment for his pencil case. Believe me when I say that that is a job and a half. Did manage though to hoover and do a general tidy up before I went, so I'm going to have a cuppa as it is well deserved and then get a load of washing on the line and one in the washing machine. EHM I used to think exactly the same thing as you when my youngest was a baby, he used to be such a delightful little boy who woke me up at 4.30am every day until he was 2! Now though he loves to lie in, he doesn't get up until about 9am on holidays. My dd who is also called Ellie was also a nightmare sleeper who now also enjoys her lie ins! There is hope for you!

Simplysparkling - I remember burning a hole in my mum's lovely blouse when I was 12 , She was very good though, sh didn't stop me ironing! I wish I still enjoyed that job...Great that your son is also learning. You'll be able to put your feet up soon!
Aufish - that is a major expedition - you deserve more than a cuppa!

I've now done 9 out of my 13 decluttering jobs!
Next jobs: 1.a trip to the local charity shop 2. tidy garden shed 2. sort children's dressing up clothes. Bye for now.
