Bread slicing gadget

Sounds a bit weird but I think I've heard of gadgets for slicing bread straight, does anyone have one? Do they work?
We really struggle with our homemade bread turning into a squint wobbly mess halfway down the loaf due to rushed and scrappy slicing.
Eventually it descends into crumbs before it is finished.
Any ideas??

I'm sure Lakeland/Kleeneze, etc sell some sort of plastic guide so you can cut straight slices. Alternatively ask the place you buy the bread from to put the loaves through their slicer?

Cut in a bit then turn it, cut in a bit. Do all four sides then slice the middle bit. Quick when you get used to it.

You can get electric carving knives that work for bread, but I think that the best thing is just a good serrated bread knife - and cut the bread using the whole length of the knife. If you saw away at it, the bread gets hammered, but if you use the whole of the knife, you get a much cleaner cut.

I have a plastic guide thing that I use with a bread knife - about 12 quid from amazon.

I got one for a fiver off ebay- plastic guard that your knife slots into and a bit at the end to hold the loaf in place. After a few weeks using it we got the gang of cutting it properly so don't need it so much now!
I think lakeland do one that's pricier but it acts as a bread bin too.

a good sharp knife.
and slicing up side down for some reason is easier (more crusty?)

Thanks. I'll look at amazing and Lakeland.
It's my own homemade bread and it's not as crusty as shop-bought so tends to wobble a bit while being cut.
