I need to tell you all about my incredibly sad splurge...

I just spent £300 in vouchers on cleaning stuff AND I'M NOT SORRY.

Ok, so the bulk of that was on a brand new Dyson V6 Animal cordless Vac which I'm hoping will clean my house for me while I watch masterchef but I also invested in Method cleaning products to try out. I've heard good things. I also treated myself to some e-cloths, I've been dying to try them for ages but couldn't justify the price of them Blush..

I have a perfectly functional upright vac but it's heavy and I've been putting off vaccing upstairs for 2 months Blush

Whoop!

Sorry, I just had to share Blush

At first I thought you just meant cleaning stuff, like bleach and multi purpose cleaners! But yes, a vacuum cleaner will make a massive dent in that budget!
I bought a hand held vacuum (under £30 job) which I thought was going to help, but it broke pretty quickly. Can't convince DH to buy a more expensive one yet...
haven't tried e-cloths, or heard of the method stuff, so you'll have to come back and tell me if they were any good !

I use the method stuff, the daily granite cleaner is fantastic, the glass cleaner is good, the all purpose cleaner is rather crap and my cleaner asked me to change it as it was making her life harder lol, and the wooden floor cleaner is fine. E cloths are good.

The method stuff is fab! We've been using it for about 2 years now. The only product I don't like is the washing up liquid. We prefer the ecover one

We are moving house soon and I am going to treat myself to a cordless dyson. I can't wait. I hate vacuuming with a passion I am hoping that if I take out the faff of plugging it in and out and lugging it up and down the stairs it will help make it more bearable

Reporting back: The vac arrived - it's like every dream I ever had Shock Grin

I have no words. It's feather light and whizzes around the floor super easily. I vacced with my upright the night before I got it but it still pulled up so much grime and hair and dust from the lounge rug I had to empty it 3 times! Blush

We got the Dyson V6 Fluffy as a wedding present and I love it, it's so light and easy to use so we definitely vacuum more often, particularly the stairs.

ClaraLane it's just so easy! Grab vac off wall, whizz around, stick vac back on wall. It takes less than 2 minutes to vac a room start to finish and no cord to bother with Grin

I loves it.

Halfords do Microfibre car washing cloths, really big and much cheaper.

I had ALL the ecloth range at one point and have started using these instead.

I love the smell of the purple Method spray and the orange washing up liquid but don't find them that great.

My cordless Dyson has changed my life

My cordless dyson has changed my life also, I absolutely adore it after lugging around a heavy Henry! I too would leave the upstairs for 2-3 months without hoovering and now I can whizz around the entire house in 5 minutes

I've got a Dyson DC28 I think it is, I can do my whole (4 bed 2 level) house without having to unplug using the plug at the bottom of the stairs. The cord is so long. Just that little fact changed my life for the better Grin

Enjoy...!

I love my cordless Dyson too. The normal head was a bit crap on the wooden flooring so I bought the 'fluffy' head a few weeks later as an extra and that is amazing!!

I love method stuff. I won't be without the clementine spray.

You've now got me looking at the cupboard under the stairs over the tumble dryer and measuring up to see if I've got space for a cordless vac. It would be nice to have one upstairs as well but I really don't have a suitable space there.

Had the mother in law round yesterday and she spent 10 minutes hoovering my house because she wanted to play with the new dyson, bonus!

I've tested out the Method bathroom spray and I have to say I'm impressed. The toilet cleaner got the loo sparkling without that horrible bleachy smell (the smell of bleach makes me feel sick) and the bathroom spray is lovely and minty.

I have Zoflora in a spray bottle for daily wiping down of sides in the kitchen, but I tested out the clementine method spray and its actually a really effective degreaser which is something Zoflora can't do well, so I'll be buying that again.

The glass spray is brill. Streak free windows and mirrors using that and the e-cloth window cloth with very little effort.

The e-cloths are a bit meh, nice to have designated cloths for different jobs but they haven't revolutionized my life. The only 2 I would say are great are the kitchen cloth because it has a scourer corner on it which is fab, and then the glass cloth which seems to get things streak free pretty well.

I love the method cleaning products. The clementine is lovely. I have the almond wood polish, it leaves everything so shiny and smells Devine!

I have a new Hoover. A dyson ball. It is the best thing ever! I am happily vacuuming everything in sight.

I am very easily pleased.

Almond wood Polish you say??? Ooh I need to add that to my next method haul! I love the ylang ylang daily shower spray too.

We bought a cordless Vax last week. We've got an upright Dyson that I can't use because I'm disabled so we had a Bissel re-chargeable floorcleaner and it was fab. But DH broke it. Sad.

The Vax arrived on Friday, DH had hoovered our bedroom on Thursday night, he went over it with the Vax and it got so much dust, fluff and hair (mine) up that it filled the tank. It was a bloody bargain too, £114 reduced from £289 in Argos.

I can see our Dyson getting left under the stairs gathering dust.

I love Merhod cleaning products. They're the only ones that don't give me headaches.
