Curtains

Hi, opinions please,

Are curtains that end six inches below a windowsill ok? Bearing in mind there is a radiator below window that sits 5 inches below the level of curtain. So curtain sits near enough halfway between sill and radiator. Going to buy new curtains and the only length available is 54 or 72 which be over the top of radiator, which current ones are. Can't decide which are best.

If the set up means you can't end the curtains at the sill because the curtain track or pole is positioned outside the window recess than what you are suggesting is fine. You'll probably get a slew of responses that only floor length curtains are acceptable, this being mumsnet.

I acquire mine so that - as I can't realistically change my radiator positions - they're long enough to 'tuck in' when the heating is on. That way, I stand a fighting chance of heating the room rather than the window panes and the back of the curtains.
