Is it ok to wash painty decorating clothes in my washing machine?

As the title really. I've been painting dd's room and just put my very painty decorating clothes in the washing machine - now feeling paranoid about whether it was OK to do this...

It's fine. I always wash dust sheets (old bedding and curtains in our house) on a 60 degree cottons wash, so a long, hot wash. I often stick the clothes I have worn in with them.
