Hello everyone!

Me and my husband recently bought a new house and are looking for a good quality vacuum cleaner. I've done a bit of research online, and someone was recommending the brand Vorwerk. Has anyone ever heard of it, or used it, and could tell me more about it?

Any help will be greatly appreciated smile

Hi, I have a Vorwerk Kobold. it is brilliant. would choose it over dyson any day! It is pricey but is pretty much the only vacuum you'll ever need, has all sorts of clever attachments that let you mop & vacuum at the same time, clean your windows, dry clean carpets etc. Brilliant for getting rid of pet hair.
Have a look on www.vorwerk.co.uk

I have the vorwerk vacuum and I love it. The mop and Hoover function is such a time saver, I had a free demonstration at my before I committed to anything so might be worth doing that then you can see for yourself what it does and get to use it x

My Vorwerk Kobold died yesterday at the age of 45 years - of course, after I bought an additional flexpipe and brush.
They stopped repairing this type - VK 119 - in 1993.

A new one is unaffordable for us.

The Vorwerk people told me to have a look at You Tube and to try and repair it myself. Which I'll try ... I hope it's just a wedged Lego person.

A Henry
Love mine and cheap as chips. All others, including my Dyson, died after a short time

Miele Cat and Dog or Henry.

How frustrating @prokupatuskrakedatus!
Not sure if this is an option for you but they have the new model on interest free at the moment. A chap called Charlie was very helpful when I rang for more info - 0330 660 0834.

Vorwerk are very good, but they're over £1000 new. Same market as Kirby, with door to door sales.

Sebo are the best reasonably priced Vac's I've found. Also German and very well made, mine is a 21 year old hand-me-down and still works like new. Only problem with it is that the hose is a bit short, but the newer X4 model comes with a full stair reach hose

1st choice Miele, 2nd Henry but he's an akward shape for stairs, so Miele is best. I love mine.

Henry (or Hetty if pink is your thing) there is a reason why they are the builders choice! They suck up everything. Are inexpensive (compared to Miele or Dyson)
I have a special rotating brush head for dog and human hair. I can do practically a whole flight of stairs with it on one level and you simply move it up or down to complete the remaining steps. No different to any other vacuum really in that respect.
