Drawers smell of smoke

About 6 months ago I bought a 2nd hand chest of drawers from a lady that does a bit of buying and selling(IE not from a home).
When I got them home they had a very faint smell of cigarette smoke. I wiped them with zoflora and aired them, and the smell seemed to go.
However, now we've had the warm weather, the smell is quite strong, and my clothes reek of cigarettes!
Any tips for getting rid of the smell?
