Robot Hoover

Toying with the idea of getting a robot Hoover to leave running while I'm at work because I'm lazy prices are ranging from £60 up to £1000 does anyone have one and could recommend? I'm seeing very mixed reviews... I don't want to spend more than £150 if I can help it. X

I have one , it's the best thing I have ever bought and love him. We have a Neato. He was £160 from amazon an is amazing. He's a bit noisy but he is programmed to hoover when I'm at work so I don't care how noisy he is.
We have a very large, very hairy dog and it copes brilliantly. We have both wooden floor and carpets. I haven't hoovered for more than 18 months it's that good (obviously we have to do the stairs )

We have a neato too. Only had it a couple of months - second hand from eBay. It's brilliant and copes well with dog hair. Easy to retrieve Lego, playmobil and hair slides from its dirt tray. Unfortunately, it's incapable of tidying up before it starts, so we have to do that.

We have 3 flights of stairs. It's really funny watching it stop at the top of them and 'look around' before 'deciding' not to go down!

Watching with interest. I hate hoovering and everything seems to be getting out if hand lately! DP and I are currently in a robot hoover vs cleaner debate.

I purchased a Vielda Robot Vacuum Cleaner about a year ago and heres my review of it.

I didn't want to spend a fortune on the most popular robot cleaning brand, so this was a bit of a test purchase. Not at all disappointed so far - it's doing a great job of picking up fluff n stuff n cat hair. I wondered whether the fact that it didn't have a clever self-docking charger would be an issue. Not really, charge it up, pop it in the centre of whichever room, and press the button. It'll stop according to the programme length selected. (S/M/L room).

Just lob it into a different room each day, and off it goes. A very handy way to augment the regular proper go over with the household vacuum cleaner. Oh, and it won't do the stairs obviously :) But neither did it plummet down them. With long haired peeps in the house, I have had to undo the cleaning rollers and clean them out. But this is easy. For this money, I'd buy another and have 1 up and 1 down stairs. Battery life is good - easily capable of doing 2 decent sized rooms plus.

I have a Neato , I really like mine, i'd say they need to be used regularly to be effective, we chose a neato because it works in more of a pattern back and forth rather than randomly, mine was more than your budget but they have them in a range of prices.

They seem to really divide opinion, I haven't regretted getting ours.

We bought ours from amazon. We have just replaced it's brush with a slightly different one, one with brushes and rubber and it's even better and quieter now!

We have a Neato and love it. I only move a few things each time and wedge open the doors and it does the whole of the downstairs while I'm at work.
