any tips for getting half a bottle of bubble bath out the carpet?

Just that really. DCs managed to get into upstairs bathroom while we were dozing this morning (my fault for not shutting the door properly) and got bubble bath EVERYWHERE. The bathroom itself is not too bad, it's tiled and I binned the bath mat because it was sodden.

But I can't do that with the bedroom carpet, the more I scrub the bubblier it gets... Has anyone got any bright ideas or is it a case of just keep scrubbing?

Thanks

Not been there myself (I am sure it will happen thou!) but I would avoid scrubbing. Use cold water only, hot water creates more bubbles. I would use a towel to try and soak up as much as poss. Stamp on it loads, then use another dry one and repeat. Then leave to dry and reassess once it dries......

And just to add - dontcha just love the things little ones get up to in the mornings. I am so glad mine is trained to jump into my bed and watch CBeebies whilst I doze for an extra 20 mins

Do you know anyone with a Vax machine? Use plain cold water in it and go over the patch again and again.

Well I have been scrubbing with hot water so I shall cease and desist! Thanks, moving onto cold and dabbing now...

No I don't know anyone with a vax. Just found out in the time it took to get scrubbing carpet my toddler has found a sample pot of sudocreme and got it all over herself. Arrrrrgh!

Oh no - sudocrem and bubble bath..... It's not your day is it. 😢😢 please tell me it's not a brand new carpet

It's not brand new carpet no, but just put kids in car to get rug doctor and one of the car seats has malfunctioned. Also the cat weed on the kitchen floor. So, so not my day.

Rug Doctor machines pack up if get filled with bubbles (been there, done it) op.
I'd keep putting a towel over it and stand on the towel to suck it up. Eventually you won't get anything more coming up, leave it to dry and see what it looks like.

Does anyone have a vax cleaner you could borrow? I've not used it for bubble bath but have used it for bubble mixture which the kids managed to spill all over a cream carpet.

I would have scraped it up with a knife first then water then vax... I say I, I mean dh.
