New Bath Towels

Tell me where to look please!

Looking for huge fluffy bath sheets Grin

They need to be in neutral colours (think oatmeal, beige, cream) please.

Any thoughts? Going to look at Dunelm, John Lewis and TK Maxx, but where else? Probably would like something a bit "nicer" luxurious so probably ridiculously expensive than Asda/Tesco.

The Ultimate range in BHS is excellent, and I think they currently have 33% discount ATM. Bath sheet is £22 right now, and loads of colours to choose from. I have these in white, they are good quality and wash well too.

I will second BHS. They were on BOGOF yesterday but the offer has probably changed.

I got some grey ones from sainsbury in the sale a week or so ago. About £7 for a bath sheet!!

Our top of the range towels from john lewis have stood the test of time far better than our top of the range towels from Dunelm Mill. They were considerably more expensive however.

Primary bath sheets are unbeatable quality and wash and wash. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I have some gorgeous ones from the White Company. They are thick and delicious and wash really well. The downside is they take up so much room in the washing machine and take ages to dry that I basically just keep them for guests or special baths.

The only redeemable thing about BHS is their towels and bedding. Go to BHS!

Have to agree as above
White Company are excellent
Some of Mine are several years old, used a lot, and are still as soft and fluffy as new
Bath sheets are very large size
Usually get mine from the outlet at Bicester, slight seconds, half the price you would pay in regular store

If you use the towels to wrap your hair up in the thick one are useless (my personal opinion). Can't get on with them as too thick. Bit of a Matalan fan for this reason. Although I do have nice thick ones as people seem to find it hard to understand 'can I have towels from Matalan' in reply the question 'what would you like for your birthday?' Apparently the thread on here somewhere says it's rude to give presents back because you don't want/like them!

Loving all these suggestions, thanks! Also big thanks to Gas for the hair towel tip, I have very long hair and had totally forgotten that thick towels don't do too well with that - it's ages since I bought new towels hence the excitement!

MIL got me some lovely thick bath towels from when I asked for some. She made a point of saying she had been and felt towels in loads of shops and they were the best, I think she was worried I might think she was being cheap! They are lovely.

From Primark that should say, stupid phone!

Report
Grumpyoldblonde · 20/01/2016 17:23

Are the Primark ones really that good? I have heard good things about their Egyptian cotton bedding range, do they also have a luxury towel range? If so, I will give those a whirl, my towels are hard and scratchy although fairly new.

I'm looking forward to a wee shopping spree at the weekend. Been online and so far Dunelm and White Company are coming out best in terms of colours/sizes/prices but will also have a look at Primark/Sainsburys etc Grin
