Clothes storage in a small space

I have just moved into a new flat, and I don't have any space for my bulkier clothes. We were in a bit of a rush and had to sign for the first non-mouldy thing we could rent, but that non-mouldy flat has no boxed in storage.

There is two very small (children's sized, basically) wardrobes and a chest of narrow drawers (only good for underwear as stuff gets stuck) our winter coats and jumpers and DP's suits have nowhere to be hung.

We have a 100 x 50cm space for some kind of thing to hang some clothes from.

Our doors are very wide so all of the over door hanger things have been useless too.

What about a clothes rail? Or just a rail long enough to go from wall to wall? I had the same issue as my house doesn't have any built in storage. So got a clothes rail, and it makes the room look more open without a wardrobe now. Plus I had an awkward space in my room where nothing would fit!

Could you buy a bed with storage underneath and then reconfigure all clothes?
