Please recommend fabric conditioner/washing liquid with a long lasting scent

My washing smells clean when washed, but when I get clothes out they don't really smell of anything. Can anyone recommend a fabric conditioner or clothes washing liquid (if you think that'll help as well) with a long lasting scent please. Also, what scent do you think smells nice yourself?

I don't like using laundry products with strong scents. The chemical perfumes used are what trigger allergic reactions.

If strong smells are what you're looking for, have a sniff of Surf Tropical powder and the comfort Exhilerations softeners. Both smell strong and the Surf powders wash well too.

Bold 2in1 pearls have quite a long lasting fragrance. I like the lavender one although it is an unusual quite masculine scent. DH likes it whereas he hates most fabric conditioners.

You will have to keep changing the softener, because your snout will get acclimatised to the smell and you will no longer notice it (this is one reason why people douse themselves in too much perfume).

If you have a few bottles, and use them in rotation, changing each week, each one will be new to your nose and you will notice it.

(If you are a smoker you will have to stop, if you want to smell anything, and all your clothes will smell of fags anyway, but you won't know)

Thanks for your replies. I guess I'm just looking to find something that smells nice when I get it out of the wardrobe, drawer. I'll give the Surf and Bold 2-in-1 a try and maybe put them on rotation as PigletJohn suggests. Any other replies are still welcome though.

The yellow Lenor leaves a nice scent, but I only use it on bedding and towels. Fairy is nice too.

Smell-wise I like Comfort Pure (the white one) and if I have my tumble dryer on (that vents near the front door) when people knock, I regularly get asked what that lovely smell is. Ditto if I've just hung washing up indoors to dry when someone come round. I don't think it lasts particularly though.

What about Lenor Unstoppables. Not washing liquid or fabric conditioner but beads you put in your drum before adding the clothes. You still use washing detergent and softener too, so a bit costly. They are about four pounds a bottle and totally unnecessary however as someone who is drawn to new cleaning and laundry products Blush I had to try them and they do smell lush, especially the blue bottle.

I also find liquid detergent smells better than powder detergent but I use powder as it's better for the machine.
