Clear out help

I have to clear out DD's toys. They are taking over the house. The trouble is there's two metric tonnes of plastic crap from McDonalds/front of magazines which I really don't want to just throw away. The idea of all of that going in to landfill makes my toes curl.

Does anyone have any ideas about something sensible to do with them? They don't appear to be the kind of plastic that's recyclable either, annoyingly enough.

All suggestions appreciated!

What sort of condition are they in, genuinely? Chewed and battered plastic isn't going to have many takers I think.

Freecyle of offer for free on a FB selling page?

Thanks folks. They're all in pretty good condition - played with when happy meal/magazine bought and shoved in a box after that. It's all the 'free' stuff so can't really imagine any one wanting it as such. Perhaps a divide up to charity shop/free cycle/eBay is the way forward.

What about donating them to a local school for their summer fair? Our school has a room full of 2nd hand toys of all types for the childre to root through and buy
