I use a Henry, but would like a Miele pet one.

My Vax upright leaves satisfying lines on the carpet!

Oddly enough my henry is one of the best ones I've had even though on paper the specs are significantly lower. Weird!

I had a Henry and I listed after my sisters Dyson so I managed to get one in the sale and have away poor Henry! Now I want him back. He was amazing compared to this heap of poo!

I've never felt the love for any domestic appliance like the love I feel for my Miele cat and dog.

I've got a Henry and bought the pet brush head separately and it's fantastic. Used to have a Miele Cat and Dog and Henry beats it hands down.

Henry has bags that you throw away when full if that's what you mean? When we had builders in they just used their Henry without any bags.

Ok singing .... You've sold me. Henry it is. Now where do I get the best deal? And are the bags readily available from most stores etc ....?? Grin

Got mine from John Lewis and the special pet head brush from Amazon. Bags are easy to get and are huge and last ages. In fact, I've had the last lot so long I can't remember where I bought them from! Grin

Buy bags from amazon for the genuine ones, or Wilko for the cheapy version.

I got a great deal at tesco direct on mine, but worth checking everywhere for the best deal!

We have this Ensign one. We bought it 25 years ago because it was the one a residential Guide Dog training centre used. We had a labrador whose hairs speared into carpet and were impossible to suck out. Until we got this.

I love my Henry, much better than my old Dyson. Asda has them in their promotions at the moment. I think they were about 95 quid.

Best vacuum cleaner I have had is my Sebo upright. It's got bags which last for ages and are changed without any escape of dust as a cap fits on each bag before removal. Would never buy another Dyson, nothing but trouble and don't even mention the changing of bags, what a performance. Sebo always has excellent reviews. John Lewis use them to clean Peter Jones and I presume other stores.

Miele cat and dog. Even if you don't have pets, the turbo brush head it comes with is better than the plain one on the non-pet models at shifting fluff and stuff IMO.

I am on my 2nd or 3rd Miele cat and dog. Next time I'll try a Henry. I've tried a few others that lasted a few months...amazing to me how hoovers can be so bad and still be sold, and have positive reviews on amazon!

No recommendations but saw this on BBC news about powerful vacuum cleaners being phased out and thought it might be helpful: www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-28878432

Minkah, I've also had two Miele Cat and Dog plus a Miele 5000 (I think it was). Two Labs in the house so a lot of hair, but the Henry plus the additional pet head brush you buy separately, has beaten them all tbh.

Ah, just seen this thread. I had heard a lot of good things about the Miele Cat and Dog, but it seems the consensus is that the Henry has better sucking power? Want to order a new vac....
