where/how do you store stationary etc?

my kids have soo many pens, pencils, craft sets etc and they are driving me insane (currently nesting and decluttering!). I want to get rid of a lot of the colouring pencils etc but what do I do with them? will the school want them? I'm assuming they get a load every September.

but also where to store the ones we are keeping? We have a large expetit unit in the living room and all that sort of thing Is on there. They have pots/cups where the pencils etc are stored upright so they can easily use them. But I have found that I've spent days decluttering the unit and as soon as I add the pencils etc back it instantly looks cluttered again. (I can't put them on the lower 3 levels as DS gets them and tips them all out). So they are always at eye level for adults. just fed up of my house looking like a playgroup!

If they're in good condition, might a toddler group appreciate them?

When I was little all my crayons etc were kept in retro style lidded biscuit tins. We used to have tall cylindrical biscuit tins with lids that were handy for this. Plus a great excuse to buy some special biscuits Wink

My craft stuff is in "really useful" boxes. Fondly remembers pre-DC days of crafting...

Our pens and pencils are in a clippy tupperware box. Craft stuff is spread between a number of Ikea samla boxes which sit on a billy bookcase - I have one for paints, one for card and paper, one for stickers and other little bits and one for craft kits, sticker books and so on.

We also have an expedit, the only way I keep it looking neat is by piling the messier toys into drona boxes.
