Rat Droppings etc

Hi, I've a huge concern. My in laws have offered us a climbing frame and slide for my 11 month old, my issue is that these objects have been in storage inside a shed for years. We cannot be certain there have been rats in the area and in the shed. (Shed was rarely accessed and could be a haven). As an anxious mum, the idea of allowing my baby to play on these objects frightens me. How can I get these so clean, they're new! Do I use they uric acid enzyme remover or is it too risky to use the objects regardless? The in laws are cleaning as hard as possible with anti bacterial stuff but now I'm concerned it may not be enough as I've heard it's not effective against rats. Thank you.

Milton fluid ? Not sure what you think would be catching especially once it has been washed over . If it is going to be outside then it is open to all sorts.

I've heard of things like weils disease etc if not cleaned properly.

I believe Weil's Disease is mainly waterbourne or transmitted through direct contact with livestock. As long as you use something to clean the items I'm sure it will be fine.

I think its rare in the UK - and its most likely to be spread by contact with contaminated soil/water in any case. Really, its not worth worrying about.

You are being hysterical Wink. Washing it down with warm, soapy water will be plenty. I would definately want to give it a good wash with mild soapy water if someone had cleaned it with any kind of antibacterial cleaner.
