Tesco shoppers, what cleaning products are your musthaves?

I'm a new Flylady convert, and slowly turning things around in my hovel, but I've been using cif or fairy washing up liquid for most things, and I want a fully stocked cleaning product shelf! Are there any standout things? There is so much choice I don't know where to start!

Bicarb to shine your sink.
Method lavender spray for surfaces (or Dettol antibacterial). Cif too.
Flash for floors.
Tesco microfibre cloths.
Bleach for the occasional blast down the plug hole.

Oh, thank you both, I'll make a list. (I thought I had asked the stupidest question ever and was just being ignored!)

This is my list (may seem excessive to most Grin, but I do like cleaning products Blush).

Nearly all of mine are Co-Op own brand, also use Ecover, Method, Astonish and occasionally Marks and Spencer. This is because I absolutely refuse to use animal tested cleaning products (I've still got a stack of non animal friendly stuff in the Garage that I can't bring myself to use), but that is a personal choice to you.

I will list as much as I can remember of my cupboard.

Washing up Liquid
Bleach (in love with this stuff :/)
Kitchen bleach spray
Kitchen antibacterial spray
Apple scented kitchen/general spray
Orange scented kitchen/general spray
Ecover cream cleanser
Method spearmint bathroom cream scrub
Furniture polish - standard spray tin
Method wood polish (fantastic almond scent)
General glass cleaner
Mint scent glass cleaner (glass cleaners are also great for appliances)
Stainless steel cleaner
Bathroom spray cleaner
Ecover toilet cleaner (this is very good stuff)
Linen scent air freshener
Lavender scent air freshener
Floor wipes
Lemon wipes
Ecover wipes
Bathroom wipes

Bio Laundry Powder
Non bio laundry powder
Colour laundry liquid
Delicates laundry liquid
Ecover laundry powder and softener
Fabric softeners

MICROFIBER cloths - I literally could not live with out these, I get a bulk pack of around 30-40 from Costco for about £11

Sponges
Fluffy dusters

Rubbish bags - again Costco bulk around 100 of them for around £10

And finally, Bicarbonate of soda (again a lifeline of cleaning)
Vinegar
Lemon juice.

I know this is excessive (and I bet there is stuff I have missed off Blush)

You could get by on way less I know I could actually but I do love cleaning products. Just gave you this list, so you can see what I use to clean my entire house, and I consider myself a clean freak. I can see now, there is a lot of repeats on the list, so you can just pick out what you think you will need and build yourself your own collection.

Just checked, there is stuff missed off (going off what I actually have)

However, they are just variants of the same things really, will not bore you with the details.

Happy shopping I need a restraining order from the cleaning isle :(

That's excellent thank you! I have gone from being a confirmed slob to suddenly wanting to have a clean tidy living environment and having an almost fanatical interest in cleaning blogs, so I need to get well stocked. I bought Zoflora and microfibre cloths when I nipped into the shops on the way back from work today!

You're welcome.

Haha, join the club, I love having a clean and tidy house. I promise, I instantly feel much happier in my mood when it's tidy - it's a very good feeling I get and all is well in the world now I am sounding disturbed Grin.

Happy cleaning :)

You don't need loads of products, honestly! Or to spend a lot.

I make a spray containing 50:50 Flash and water (but the Value one) and a dash of Zoflora. This is for kitchen surfaces and bathroom.

Bleach
Astonish paste
Washing up liquid
Bicarb
Vinegar

That's it.

Microfibre cloths are a good investment, but not essential.

Tesco Ambience Bio powder is consistently cheaper than any other offers and works perfectly.

e1y1 I'm just really getting into cleaning myself. If you have the time/inclination, would you mind posting which jobs you use your cleaning products for.

I know hardly anything about cleaning products, and am fascinated by that list!
