Hotpoint tumble dryer dead at 15 months old. Wasn't ever very good.

Want dryer that drys clothes properly dry not a poxy "sensor dry" like this that leaves them damp!

Cheap is good....

Ours is a Creda - only has 2 temperature settings, bought from John Lewis 10 years ago and still going strong. It was also fairly inexpensive - I came across the receipt and I think it was only £230. It dries everything properly in an hour and doesn't seem to be very energy inefficient, mysteriously!

Sorry I've got a Zanussi condenser, that's been fab, extremely efficient & reliable for the past 7 years.
My SIL has just bought a Bosch one that seems quite good but I can't tell you which particular one it is.

I have the super big Bosch one and I luffs it! But it wasn't cheap. It has a sensor so almost never takes the full drying time (eg. for a full load of Cotton to "cupboard dry" it says will take 1:58 but it almost never takes that long, only for our super King duvet cover).

I have a Bosch condenser, on occasions it has been on all day. It has the sensor dry so it stops when the clothes are dry rather then boiling everything to a crisp.

We've had an AEG vented sensor one for nearly 10 years and it's brilliant, lots of different settings, you can override the sensor for stuff that's nearly dry (eg washing that hasn't quite dried on the line). Nothing shrinks so long as you use the right settings.

White knight, cheap and only has a couple of buttons, what's not to like :)

John Lewis own brand, only about £200. Fast, big, various settings from crispy dry to damp Smile. With sensors. Been going strong for years.
