Chalkboard Paint

Any one ever made their own?
I want a chalkboard wall but not black, it's for a narrowish hallway.
I know you would mix grout and paint, but what types of paint has anyone found successful?

I bought red chalkboard paint from B&Q , to use as a notice board, painted direct onto wall, works fab.
