How many towels do I need compared to how many I have?

I have 7 big bath sheet towels and about 4 smaller ones.

Typically, 4 bath sheets get used on rotation, and the smaller ones are never used unless the cat has been outside in the rain and needs drying off

We have a couple of towels each. For example, I have a bath sheet and a bath towel but my partner has two bath towels. There are two hand towels for guests in the bathroom on rotation and same again in the kitchen. Then of course we have about 20 old ones for the dogs.

I tumble dry towels, cos it keeps them fluffy; so don't need loads - as wash/dry in a day.

We have two bathrooms, so have 4 handtowels (2 on, 2 in the wash)
dss have a bath towel each
dh and I have 4 bath towels
Then we have a couple of spares for guests.

Old towels, beachtowels are kept with the suitcases for the beach, camping, etc.

You never know when they will come in handy, towels are very useful.

Think winter time, think summer time with swimming, paddling pools and showering. Think sick bugs where you can put towels on dcs pillows just incase...

I have two towels that I rotate for downstairs toilet.. I have a small bale for the upstairs bathroom to match colour scheme - we never use this bathroom. One for swimming bag.

Then in ensuite (used mainly) I have about 20 .. this could be an under estimate. I have given a lot away too. I just think maybe I will need them. I actually might put a lot of them into the attic.. yep.. that is the best solution.

Most of ours were destroyed by the untimely arrival of DS2 (yes, ambulance dispatch really do tell you to get a load of towels, and DH chose the white ones....).

So, we have 8 good large towels - 2 each for Me, DH, DS1 and DS2. 2 spares for guests. 2 manky old ones for e.g. washing machine draining/ freezer defrosting. 1 gym / swimming towel for me, 3 for DH.
12 hand towels - 3 bathrooms and the kitchen.
