So after 10 years at home with my 3 DC I am going back to work albeit part time. I've just opened my fridge and freezer and it's a little chaotic and has very little order. So my friends I am asking you for some tips to organise my larder, fridge, freezer and weekly shop to help me work and still deliver family meals.

I work part time also. I have a food delivery on a Sunday morning to include what we need to evening meals plus lunches for the week.

I batch cook on a Sunday to stock the freezer up so one week it might be curry, next lasagne, next chicken goujons.

Sunday dinner is a roast chicken. After dinner dh makes chicken fried rice and that is Mondays dinner. Tuesday is something batch cooked from the freezer, same as Wednesday. My day off is Thursday so I try and do a big stir fry or stew, goulash. Friday is usually something like fish fingers or goujons or fish cakes with chips and beans or veg.

Saturday is very relaxed.

Lunches are made the night before and put in the fridge.

Ooh now thats very organised. I need to look into a weekly delivery and menu planning. Not only might I be more organised but I think I'll save us a fortune Blush

On a Saturday I sit down with my 'weekly planner pad' (check out amazon for examples!) there is a column on there for dinners! Then do the shop to be delivered on a Monday morning.

I write in my weeks menu- as well as other things like the weeks activities, play dates etc. (I'm a sahm and have a memory like a sieve). I allow the meals to be swapped about in the week- as some things take more time and can't always be arsed!

I always overcook so that my ds has leftovers for a hot lunch each day.

My DH makes his lunches the night before (again often left overs as he likes a hot lunch).
