washing machine repaired but still not working..time for a new one or call repair man back?

Possibly the most boring question ever but had washing machine repaired yesterday. Its still not working, do I call the repair man back or give up on it and buy new as its 6 years old and gets very heavy use (as suggested by friend).

Should washing machine repair man be expected to come out again free of charge as it wasn't fixed or will he charge a second call out charge (£50!).

Although a toughie at work I have a history of being a bit of a pushover with repair people/mechanics etc and never sure what's reasonable to expect.

I'd start by going back to the repair man as otherwise you have paid £50 plus the price of a new washing machine which seems unreasonable. Give him a ring to clarify.

if you paid him to fix it, he should have fixed it.

what was the fault?
