What's it for? Halfords battery top up is suitable for irons etc (and according to their reviews, a medical linear accelerator Grin)

Halford or similar car spares shop. Also known as de-ionised water.

Asda do it in the car accessory aisle it's £1.50 for 2.5 litres I put it in my steam mop.

Do you have a condenser tumble drier? That water is distilled. Ask a friend

I emailed Lakeland and they said I can use de-ionised water and DH got some of that earlier so I am covered now.

As Gottakeepchanging says - water from the condenser drying machine is distilled. My mum uses this water in her iron. I just use tap water - but then my iron keeps breaking. Should I be using distilled water?

Depends where you live,if it is hard water then yes using distilled makes ironed last longer.

Is de=ionised water distilled water? I use battery top up water for my CPAP machine but £4 every months is annoying me is de-ionised water chepaer and I wonder if I can use it in a cpap mahcine

Kew: Technically deionized water isn't distilled water - because the former is produced using ion exchange resins and the latter by distillation (ie vapourising and condensing the pure vapour leaving the crap behind). But these are essentially two different means to the same end - purified water with low ion concentration.

So for household purposes, deionized can be used in place of distilled, which is probably what you really wanted to know Smile

and is one generally cheaper than the otehr (cheapskate emoticon) I get through a lot with my cpap machine.
