LEA Inspection

I've been HE my DS (10) since last December (05). I passed the first LEA visit, but I felt it didn't go brilliantly. I'm due another visit in September. Does anyone have any tips on what the LEA look for when they visit?

Bit concerned by the notion that you felt you had to pass the LEA visit.

Home visits are not compulsory - and some HE-ers prefer not to have them as they can be stressful for the family, etc.

The LEA have a duty to be satisfied that a suitable (to age, ability, etc.) education is taking place, but do not have a right of entry to your house and do not have the right to test (etc.) your children.

Whereabouts are you in the country? It might be worth you joining Education Otherwise and getting some support from your local group/contact.
