Am posting here on the off chance that there are some HE'ers on here from this area. we are starting(informal at the moment but we hope to get enough families to organise ourselves into a full group) a group so that we can swap ideas, support and help each other and organise(ev entually) activities and trips for the children.
We are going to all be meeting just for coffee and to try to arrange some details at The Hub in the cafe in Barry at 1:30 on thurs 9th May.
We are trying to encourage as many people as possible to attend this as we can then figure out such things as hiring a room for reg meetings and how to go about funding the cost of said room.
At the moment I and my DP are co-ordinating so thought this might be a good way of getting the word out
Thanks in advance and could you just say here if you might be attending as I'm just trying to also get a feel of how many families we are dealing with

If you post your message on the Wales home ed yahoo group and on facebook group you should get a bunch of messages. Id say try on the new foundations facebook group but maybe that would be stealing people from them :o

I joined and we had a couple of people come and we are hoping for more as I can now say when the next one is.
Got a lot to work out still but we'll get there I'm sure getting some advice of people who already help run groups and see what happens.
Have realised though that now some people know my real name through this. Ah well
