Hi all!

Are any of you members of Home Education Advisory Service?

What do you get if you subscribe? - is it worth having? (ive been home edding for 18 months so Im thinking maybe not for me?)

Also they have publications - Big book of resources ideas, HEAS maths pack, Home Ed handbook - have any of you got these? Are they any good?

Thanks all :)

Did you ever find out Laura? I'm just looking at membership and they have no examples of the maths pack. If it's good then it's well worth the money, if not then the £18 would be better spent on maths books.

I don't know about the op but I was listening to a ted talk yesterday by a guy called khan who has developed software for learning that's is suitable for school or home ed.

It's a series of videos between 2-8 mins with practice session and 1-1 support. It looked great.

Ill have a google and see if I can find him Smile

Thank you.. I've got Galore Park for English and History and my children really don't like them. Been using Schofield & Sims for maths which are pretty good for practice, but not that good at the initial lesson I've found.

Ha, that Khan maths one is quite addictive. I only spent the last half hour on it just to test it obviously Wink
