Soak and Sleep Pure French bed linen?

Hi, I'm looking for new bedding and have come across the 100% pure French bed linen on Soak and Sleep. Does anyone have it? Is it any good? I've read somewhere that linen can feel a bit rough and can take around 3 years of washing to soften fully - is this true? Thanks!

I have it in grey. I love linen but the roughness for me is part of the appeal. However, I think that Soak linen is a lot softer than others I've had,

I have some and I can honestly say it does not take 3 years to soften! I bought several sets over the last 9 ish months and the first set softened beautifully after about 5 or 6 washes. Although I have to say that if unlike me you wash them straight out of the packet before you put them on, then you might take longer to notice that difference.

I also love how stylishly crumpled it looks once slept in a couple of times!

I'm obsessed with linen. It really is the most comfiest material to sleep in imho.

I have the grey (superking) and DD has the blue (double). I really like it but DH hates it (prefers the 1000TC Egyptian cotton). Whenever I change the sheets and it's the turn of the linen DH moans "Oh, not the hessian sack again". Hmm.

I've had mine for a good 2 years and washed/tumble dried it many times. It is as soft as it's going to get.

The only thing I dislike about soak & sleep bedlinen is the tie things on the bottom of the duvets. I think it looks messy and the duvet always bulges at the bottom. I prefer buttons.
