Painting built in cupboard

Any colour advice please?

We have had a Welsh dresser affair built into our dining room and it needs painting.

It was going to be white but dp has had a change of heart now the undercoat is on. He thinks the room (not much natural light) would benefit from an injection of bright colour.

He's suggesting a strong mustard yellow - honey mustard from Dulux.

Walls are off white. Laminate flooring. White skirting and doors. Main other colour in the room is our tablecloth which is green with bright red and yellow accents

Would a bright yellow dresser be totally terrible? I'm undecided...

Sometimes a strong statement in an otherwise neutral room can be lovely. I say try it, if you don't like it you can always do it white!
