Piano / desk combination

Sorry not sure where best to post this?

Dd has a piano keyboard in her bedroom and wants a desk for Christmas present. There's no room in her bedroom for keyboard and a desk and wondered if there is such a thing as a combination desk where the piano keyboard is on a shelf of the desk that you slide out? Any suggestions?

You can get desks with pull-out sections for the computer keyboard but I doubt any of these would be big enough or sturdy enough to house a piano keyboard. Is it on a stand at the moment? One possibility could be to have the keyboard on a table with a separate solid top that could go over it and transform it into a desk. I haven't seen anything like this for sale but you could DIY it or get someone to make one for you. It could work if you had an adjustable chair/stool, as the desktop would be quite high.

I don't think the thing you're looking for exists. You may need to buy an X-stand and store it and the keyboard on their ends when not in use.

I hope you can it... But it depends on the piano keyboard size and weight.

What a fantastic idea! Never heard of one though. Ikea does desks that attach to the wall and fold down when not in use, but that means completely clearing the desk. Better to have a piano that stores under her bed maybe?

My worry about that would be that if it's a big faff to get the keyboard out/put it away every time you want to play it, it'd be easy not to bother.

What if you got an adjustable height X stand for the keyboard so it can be lowered and stowed under a normal height desk when not in use?
