Hi everyone,
So, we have an apartment, the kitchen is VERY tiny, but the living room is a huge Georgian thing.
I have a sideboard with a tea tray (teapot, Milk and sugar, tea strainer, wooden tea caddie) set up. The teacups and saucers are in the sideboard.
When I make tea for everyone, I boil the kettle and carry only that to the living room. I then pop the tea into the teapot and fill it, and return the kettle to the kitchen.
It saves me carrying a tray with all the tea cups and everything from the kitchen, and I don't have any spare space in the kitchen to keep things.
The caddie and China are beautiful things to look at and keep... I don't agree with keeping pretty things just for best :). It seems silly to store everything in the kitchen and then carry it all through. I know it's a modern thing to brew tea in the kitchen...I just wondered if I'm the only one left brewing it in the living room! :)
Does anyone else do this? Or is is just me?
