Never done it myself but sounds nice to me. Should make room feel spacious, I imagine.
Be a devil and go for it!

I painted our living room ceiling very pale grey as its Matt paint and being a novice at the time I didn't realise I couldn't masking tape it for the cutting in. I really like it, everyone thinks it's a design feature!

Should have said that 3 walls are very pale grey too.

I'm planning on painting the ceiling and one wall of the DCs bedroom blue with clouds on this weekend.

Jasper my DS' room is blue with clouds. His room has a kind of giant dormer window so it's hard to distinguish ceiling from wall anyway. I did it all a lovely pale blue and I love it - very calming. Think it's a great idea.

I've done this, though not blue, creams and pale yellow/mustard in the past
My bathroom currently has a dark grey ceiling as I wanted a dark and moody feel (North facing) rather than just 'dull' through lack of natural light - everyone likes it!

I don't get the 'you must have white ceilings' mantra
My take on it is the tin says ceiling and wall paint - go for it!

This is one of those things that looks fab in interior design magazines/blogs and then I do it and hate it. And I have really high ceilings! Try it and see the worst that will happen is you'll paint over it.

It's for our bedroom
now I'm wondering whether I need to add coving to emphasise the ceiling or leave it uncoved
