Where could I get this?

We are finally close to getting a date to move into our first home having rented together for 6 years Grin

I am no longer trusted to choose colours or theme's on my own after painting a previous bathroom luminescent green and getting bored halfway through a very small hallway and leaving it half painted for the next 2 years not even just one wall but half a wall with less than 2m sq left and I would have been done

DP has no interest in discussing these things

However I have managed, I'm not sure how, to get him to agree to a wall or very large picture of nautical charts in the bathroom something I have wanted to do for years he has said yes as long as it is of his working area, DP works on the water.

Now for your help please I have no idea how to do this. I have already attempted to google it, eBay and I'm running out of ideas I've failed miserably as you can tell I'm not very good at this sort of thing

It needs to be of the Solent
It needs to be a proper working chart or old tyme style
it needs to be suitable for a bathroom

has anyone ever done this or found something like it?

How about this? Looks really expensive but says its completely waterproof and suitable for bathrooms.

This place sound helpful and can provide maps without folds for framing
www.marinechandlery.com/admiralty-chart-2045-outer-approaches-to-the-solent, I'm not sure if the maps are waterproof but I'm sure they would be helpfl if you call. Or maybe your framer will be able to tell you if they can seal the frame so it is suitable for a bathroom?

New charts are very costly! If your DP works on the water he might be able to get hold of out of date charts. Boat jumbles are a good source of oldish charts too.
I have loads of them which I intend to use in the heads in my boat. I will use artist's varnish to protect them. If using old charts you will probably need to iron them first if they have been folded for storage.
