Tile paint?

I'm fully prepared to be told it's rubbish and stay clear - and if so fine!

My kitchen is mainly white tiles, but has a border tile of blue and yellow flowery type things - not my taste and although the whole kitchen badly needs redoing, I can not afford that at the moment, but a fresh coat of white paint where there is some and perhaps being able to cover up the border tiles would freshen it up for now and help me live with it until I can do something more permanent.

So a simple white tile paint worth it or not?

I think it can look fine if done carefully, also use a small roller where possible as the brush strokes can show easily when using this sort of paint.

I did similar before when living in a rented house with retro brown and yellow tiles which were scattered randomly (painted everything white) the landlord wasn't looking to do up the kitchen anytime soon and had no objections, we were there for a couple of years so it was fine as a short term thing and it did make it seem a lot cleaner and brighter.

It is only a short term thing though as the paint will chip after a while but if you aren't looking for spending much it's not a bad option.

Thank you - it is just to spruce it up for now. I'm currently redoing the bathroom and won't be able to afford the kitchen for a while - luckily it's not huge and I figure changing what I can will help for now.

It's good to know it can make a difference and look ok!
