is it ok to paint just the walls?

We usually paint everything but are short on time so am wondering if we could just re-paint the lounge walls a different colour. It was last painted 2.5 years ago (ceiling, walls, woodwork) and is still in very good condition so do you think the walls can be can be done on their own without the rest of the room ending up looking tired? Any useful tips/precautions? Thanks.

It'll be fine. Just make sure you wipe any emulsion spatters off the woodwork.
