Colour scheme for outside of house

Hi, first post on this board.
We just bought our first house and will be moving in next month. One of the first jobs will be repainting the guttering and 'lattice' wood (not sure if that is the correct word) and the front door. I can't decide a colour that will go with the brown upvc windows which I hate so I want to try and flatter them. It's a victorian terrace with a square bay window. The windows don't need painting as they are plastic but there's wooden lace type stuff around the roof. The front door is set in a porch and it currently a dark green and I would like it to pop a bit more than it does now. Is it okay to post front of house photos on here? I worry my description is confusing. Can anyone suggest good colours for me?

Hi I think it depends on the colour of your brick/cladding etc so post a pic and will take a look :)

Maybe a duck egg blue type colour or Seagrass green? Or I wonder if you could do the lattice work white and then just pick a colour you love for the door? You're right though, the brown does make it a bit harder to tie it all together!

I think I might paint it all cream.

Zola I love the trend for grey/green paintwork outside houses. We have Chartwell Green windows on our house, but I think the cream and blue would look good. Op, your house is similar to ones in my daughter's road and the cream paint looks great on those. Fresh, but warm too.

I love grey too, with shiny chrome door furniture! Very elegant!

I have been told if I rub down the brown upvc with wd40 it will make it shiny and lighter and easier to work with hopefully. Thank you for all the suggestions! I really like the idea of the cream, I was just worried it might dirty quickly but I suppose anything on the outside of a house will dirty quickly!

Ooh I'd do a patch test somewhere first. You could do with some salt along where the weeds are growing. Otherwise you'll be pulling them up all year.

Nicest front door I saw one day was bright pink. But a nice pink not a tacky one.
