Chalk paint on fabric

Has anyone ever chalk painted a fabric chair? I bought a boudoir chair on eBay with the intention of painting but I'm a bit scared!! Wonder if anyone has any of the books that cover how you do it? Or even better experience of it. It's a velvety/velour chair.

Yes, I have painted a few. It makes the fabric feel 'leathery' I take it you mean to use AS paints? Give it a go, first you need to spray down the fabric until it is damp then paint, after give it a couple of coats of wax and it should be fine, you don't need books Just paint!
