Flooring that would work both indoor and out? (London flat)

Would anyone have any suggestions as our whole flat needs to be turned upside down anyway to add a bedroom and I don't know anything about floors.

I'd love something easy to keep clean and as the flat's fairly small thought the paved but of the garden could be the same as the kitchen for continuity?

Thanks if anyone has ideas!

Stone flooring if your ceilings can take it?

Thank you! We are the basement flat so weight would be ok.

I am now happily googling it and nice some stone is so light-coloured and so much choice.
I wish I had an interior designer as other than knowing want white walls (DH) I really have no ideas or thoughts on colour. But our budget will already be stretched!Grin

I'd keep it nice and light with a sandstone colour, and in my ideal world I would have a selection of different sized tiles that all fit together.

How big is your budget? Grin The prices range a lot, I splashed out for my downstairs loo and got some very expensive (for us) times at £50 per metre, but I only needed 2 metres! wish I could do the whole house in them!

I was just going to link you to Mandarin stone too, that is where I got my tiles and I am in love with them.

Oh how exciting as your enthusiasm makes me feel more confident about this! I only know our overall budget but it can be stretched and think the nicer we do it the better in the long run as my hope it we can put the flat on Air bnb over the holidays!

Brilliant! Grin

I get so excited by these things as it makes such a huge difference to a place when you sort out things like flooring.

Please can I ask which tiles they were? And could we even do kitchen and bathroom the same as each other?

For the bedrooms I'm thinking carpet as have this already in a light cream colour (cost £500 for both rooms) and it feels comfy and looks clean

We have travertine(sp?) tiles in the kitchen and out into the garden, with glass bifold doors - looks good when we have the doors open. No idea on cost as were already there when we moved in. They're a bit like this www.floorsofstone.com/our-tile-range/travertine.html

We have some lovely grey slate which would work all the way through?
