Wooden feet on armchairs slipping on wooden floor

The armchairs are in the middle of the floor. Or rather, I want them to be but one ends up against the cupboard and the other through the archway into the next room.

How can I stop it? The chair feet are square, and too big for any of the rubber caps I can find (e.g. www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/diy/furniture-parts-and-castors/castor-cups---2-pack-683364). I've tried that sticky stuff you use to stick rugs down, and it's not grippy enough. Could I just buy some rubber from somewhere and stick it to the bottom of the feet? Or would that leave black streaks on the floor? Where do you buy that kind of rubber anyway? Could I use old car tyres?!

Any suggestions very welcome (apart from replacing the armchairs, which are new, or carpeting the floor, which I don't want to do).

Have you tried stick on felt pads? They are usually used to cut down on noise, but could do the trick. They are cheap to buy. Make sure you clean the bottoms of the feet with white spirit before sticking the pads on.

Thx for suggestion but my guess is felt would make them slide around even more since sticky rug stuff isn't helping. Might experiment but not v hopeful!

something like this?

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4x-Round-Circular-Rubber-Foot-Self-Adhesive-Clear-Feet-Non-Slip-Durable-RF61-/190972215500

(ebay always v useful for this kind of thing. I've had the opposite problem with non-slidey wooden feet on carpet & got teflon slidey stick-ons)

Thanks! Not sure whether these will fit, but worth a try for £6.
