If you have grey carpets, what colour are your walls painted?

I have re-carpeted my upstairs in a warm mid grey carpet. The walls are currently white and I had planned to do them all a light grey (Dulux Polished Pebble).

I'm now having second thoughts about this as the one wall I have done is a bit prison cell like. I think this is because the rooms are North East facing.

I am looking for a neutral colour. Any advice gratefully received.

Is grey carpet fashionable again then? When I bought mine they were quite hard to come by

I am absolutely thrilled with the carpets btw. They look fab, so I would recommend the colour.

It's just the next bit of the look I am falling down on....

Pinterest is very uninspiring as they have only pins of grey walls with grey carpet.

I don't think I am brave enough for a blue, green or teal. I was looking for something more neutral insipid.

I think grey is the new beige meandmy.

I have had grey in my bedroom for 6 years. I have grey on 3 walls then a black floral feature wall behind my bed too. Hate it now as too dark. I think browns could work quite well with it. The reason I say this is I have a stripey carpet witj grey, brown and beige in :)

I had this exact same issue. Our sitting room faces North West and despite massive windows, doesn't get much direct light.

Our walls are Sulphur from Dulux (trade range). It's quite a deep yellow. I absolutely love it. It looks a different colour from day to might but, despite being quite bold, is not too bright or garish. It actually looks quite soft and really warms the room up.

I'm a little gutted as everyone screwed their noses up at me before it was done and now grey and yellow colour schemes are everywhere!

I have grey and grey. It looks fantastic. I copied from a show home. Our paint was called thimble case, it's really lovely and airy and bright.

Not a great photo but shows contrast between white ceiling and wall.

Bedroom is only room with carpet and it was redone in a mid grey last year, we have white walls, White is quite 'soft' as its a natural line paint (old cottage) bedding is mostly light grey and duck egg. Curtains are also duck egg. It's gorgeous and v relaxing and feels quite 'grown up'.

I have grey carpets and grey walls and its doing my head in even in a south facing sitting room. I'm going for off white. But would go for a shade of green if I was brave enough.

Blue. I'll take a pic later I'm not home ATM.

We had it redecorated when we had a leak in out house. Quite like the colour, but unfortunately don't know the name of it, and need some more as we've done a major renovation, and it would be nice to repaint the bits that have been added/damaged through the renovation.

I have greyish/beige carpet in the hall way, walls are top half white cotton by dulux & nickel by wickes on the bottom half ( we have the original dado rail) the nickel is a slivery grey very pretty & doesnt look cold, have the same carpet in the living room went with stone from homebase, which is slightly darker than natural hessian, but not as dark as elephants breath & looks fab to, tones well with the colours in the hall.

I am an interior designer and people have been grey crazy for about 5 years even if it doesn't suit the room/house! There is a definite move away from greige in the last couple of years towards darker colours with deep pigment or whites
