Curtain lining help please

I am buying my first MTM curtains and Roman blind. i want them to be warm but prefer not blackout as its for our North facing living room. Laura Ashley give options for either bonded interlined or thermal blackout lined. What would be best? Is bonded interlining not very nice? Will it give any warmth?

I have looked also on curtainsmadesimple who offer thermal lining and interlinded together as annoption, but I'm not so keen on their fabrics.

Can anyone advise me on what the different options might mean to the finished product please? I am spending a windfall so really want to be pleased with the results as couldn't normally afford this option.

Many thanks

The bonded interlining should have some insulating properties and will hang well and look smart - it'll white or cream probably. It just won't have a blackout effect.

There is a curtain buying guide on LA's website so have a read of that if you are not sure. Both the options you mention are at additional cost to the standard lining.

I've had curtains mtm from LA in the past - excellent quality.
