If I buy any more expensive little greene or farrow and ball testers think my DH may leave!! I have a blank (ish) canvass. Recently renovated, newly plastered and soon to have oak floor, north facing lounge. A small room in a Victorian cottage. Tall ceilings, red brick chimney and log burner. Sofas and curtains have to stay, both biscuit coloured. Please tell me what colour to paint it!! It will have square edged coving and deep skirtings for painting. I like the idea of a grown ups room. Ideally no red or duck egg (have blues in the kitchen/family room). Please help!!!Shock

Pale grey? Love the idea of it next to the brickwork and oak floors.

North facing. Is the room dark then? Are you looking for something warm and to brighten it up?

Yellow would work with brick and biscuit. Do you like it though? I'd still go for grey and concentrate on lighting/ lamps.

Thank you for the replies! I have been drawn once again to a very pale tinge hreen/blue colour. From little greene called "pearl". It comes in various shades. I like the mid pearl or just pearl. I was thinking of going Wimborne white for the woodwork. I am thinking of doing the other kitchen/family room the same, but hoping as the light is very different it will look slightly different?! It is quite a dark north facing room, but also quite cozy with the fire. Has anyone else used "pearl"?
