Tableware - what would you get?

To go with my new house (and new beautiful kitchen!) and I'm looking to buy some new matching tableware.

My kitchen units and my dining table (Loaf Pantry table) have a rustic look - think painted pine cupboards and wooden worktops.

I really like these and these from Anthropologie but I'm not sure if the quality is good enough for that price? I really want these to last for years.

Any suggestions for similar type of things please? Where should I look?

They look lovely but not for everyday use - won't they be hard to clean with all those dips and ridges?

Yes, I slightly worry about that and also their durability as some of the reviews say they are very fragile.

Basically looking for that style but in a more durable, practical version I guess!

Those sort of things won't be carried on for years - so you won't have a matching set for long, I think to have 10 of everything would detract from the specialness. You could buy a few of them to display on the dresser and use on special occasions but have everyday china that's more neutral, unless you want to make a virtue of mis-matched of course.

Sophie Conran for Portmerion is pretty and a bit textured.

I'm now looking at [http://royaldesign.co.uk/viewpattern.aspx?pat=5575&kb=1&gclid=Cj0KEQjwtvihBRCd8fyrtfHRlJEBEiQAQcubtE0i1d7X0l92H84jlhTC5SOQw1F8Kn3Xuh5Jyh35PKYaAmdd8P8HAQ these]. Do you think they would be long lasting? There's the benefit of being already mix and match so you can replace broken ones... Having grown up in Scandinavia, I'm sure we had some of this brand although not this style at home too and they lasted well.

With your style of kitchen I think Denby is your best bet. It's sturdy and you can always get extra pieces if needed.
