Cuddly toy storage for older children

My dd is 12 and is getting to the point when she needs ALL of the room in her bed, as at the moment it is half full of cuddly toys. She does not want to chuck them out but at the same time feels that she does not necessarily want them on display in her room all the time... I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this or creative ideas instead of just chucking them in the cupboard (never to be seen again)

What about a hammock in a top corner of the ceiling, not too in your face, but not totally out of the way either?
