Oh wise decoration gurus, I need some advice.....

We moved into our new home last summer and I'm normally pretty good with decorating but I've hit a wall with dh's and my bedroom. It's a huge huge room with good light and a neutral carpet. Currently the walls are a kind of dusky pink with a hint of grey, which isn't too bad at all. There are bamboo roller blinds at the windows (4 in a row) that are inoffensive but Can be replaced. We have a super king bed in dark teak but very clean lines including a headboard, also 2 bedside tables (very square, 2 drawers each, fairly contemporary). We used to live in Asia where teak furniture and everything else white is really on trend. I have a stack of pure white Egyptian bedding too. I have a lounge chair that needs recovering so this could be part of a new scheme (I could do this)

The thing is, we need a plan, a theme, a scheme so that it looks coherent. I was thinking of making it all neutral but would like darker walls as the place would look like a footie pitch if I paint it pale (7m x 4m). Would grey look ok with dark wood or is it past it now?. I need a boot in the right direction, have I given you enough to go on?

Dark furniture, grey walls and crisp white and grey bedding - classic. You could add pastel shades as a nod to the moment in your accessories but I'd work with what you have. Recovering the lounge chair in a complimentary fabric will soften the lines.

We have dark furniture, cream carpet, grey walls and white bedding in ours, I've added colour with grey and orange cushions, and our ensuite is white with grey and orange towels to continue the theme. HTH!

I have dark furniture and ive just decorated. I've used dulex soft chocolate, when its wet it looks like a very milky hot chocolate but as its dried its gone even lighter.
I really wasnt sure on the colour but once finished its looks so bright in the room. im very happy with the result
