pine table with white chairs?

I have absolutely no vision and would really appreciate the advice of someone who does!

We have a pine table but no chairs. We can't afford table AND chairs at the mo but obviously need something to sit on. Eventually I'd like something shabby chic ish, maybe even a round table but it doesn't make sense to just buy temporary chairs in the meantime. If we bought chairs for the table we eventually want, will they match the table we have or look terrible?

Thank you! How do I put up a pic on my android? It won't seem to let me Sad

You could try painting the table with chalk paint to get a shabby chic look. I've heard good things about Annie Sloan paint but I haven't tried it myself. I quite like mismatched chairs though - they work for shabby chic I think.

Ah yes, I never thought of something as simple as that! We can do that if it looks terrible! Thank you! I've just done as Google image search of pine table and white chairs though and some look really good so ya never know Smile our kitchen is on the cream side of lemon with light wood presses!

I'd get some second hand pine chairs, clean then up and when you have time you can do a "shabby chic" project on them Smile by painting the chairs and the legs of the table the same colour..

Thanks, that's another good idea! Still haven't got anything yet... We need chairs! Grin
